My experience has taught me that we all, even in distress, have an inner wisdom that will lead us to health and wholeness.

I provide psychotherapy for individual adults and couples. Sessions are generally 50 minutes. Frequency and length of the therapy depends on individual needs and goals, and may vary over time.

My experience has taught me that we all, even in distress, have an inner wisdom that will lead us to health and wholeness. In therapy, the path to this inner wisdom might be through emotional expression, insights, thoughts, intuition, the body, spirit, creativity, or action. It is my privilege as a therapist to help you find that wisdom: to offer options, to listen deeply, and to witness the unfolding of your own truths. As needed, our work together may include specific suggestions for changes in daily life, to suggest practices between sessions to reduce symptoms and to support the work we are doing together.

Throughout our work together, as appropriate to your specific preferences and situation, I might offer you the opportunity to participate in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, spiritually-oriented, and mindfulness approaches, as well as the expressive arts and movement modalities.

When we begin to work together, we start with a thorough intake process to discover your goals and hopes for your work, your history with your current concerns, and how your life history may have had an impact on those. We then together develop an approach that best suits you, your goals, and life circumstances. All sessions are confidential, other than exceptions required by law, or for insurance and/or consultation purposes. A signed consent form in the first session fully explains my practice policies, as required by law and professional ethics.


Fees and Payment

My fee is $200 for a 50-minute session. Payment is made at the time of the session. I do not participate in insurance panels, but many insurance companies pay for psychotherapy services out-of-network. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, contact your provider ahead of time to determine your coverage. I provide you with a monthly receipt that you submit for insurance reimbursement or tax purposes.
